K090 CERAMIC - ALUMINA/TiC - C4, C7-C8 K01-K10, P01-P05 Steel, Cast Iron Composition: Alumina/TiC ceramic grade (black). Application: Great combination of toughness and wear resistance; used for machining alloy steels, tool steels and stainless steels to 60 HRc (653 BHN).
K1 CARBIDE - UNCOATED UNCOATED C2 K20-K30 Stainless Steel, Cast Iron, Non-Ferrous Metals, High-Temp Alloys a tough WC/Co unalloyed grade. For roughing through heavy interruptions when turning or milling tsainless steels, cast irons and cast steels, rough cast non-ferrous alloys and most high-temperature alloys including titanium.
K1025 (KMF) CARBIDE - - N25-N30, S25-S30 Non-Ferrous Materials, High-Temp Alloys Medium in hardnessand binder content unalloyed WC/Co fine-grain grade. For machining high-temp alloys, titanium, and non-ferrous workpiece materials under unfavorable conditions.
K110M CARBIDE - UNCOATED UNCOATED C2-C3 K10-15 N10-20 S10-15 Cast Iron, Non-Ferrous Materials, High-Temp Alloys Uncoated carbide grade K110M is a universal grade for machining non-ferrous material. For use in light and general machining. K110M can be used with or without coolant.
K115M CARBIDE - UNCOATED UNCOATED C3 K05-10 N05-15 Cast Iron, Non-Ferrous Materials Uncoated fine-grain carbide. K115M is a premium uncoated grade designed for high edge wear resistance in non-ferrous and cast iron materials. Recommended to be used with coolant.
K125M CARBIDE - UNCOATED UNCOATED C5 P20-30 Steel Uncoated carbide grade K125M is particularly suited for dry machining of steel. Primarily for use in light and general machining of steel.
K313 CARBIDE Uncoated C3-C4 M10-20 K05-20 N10-20 S10-20 Stainless Steel, Cast Iron, Non-Ferrous Metals, Hardened Materials Composition: A hard, low binder content, unalloyed WC/Co fine-grained grade. Application: Exceptional edge wear resistance combined with very high strength for machining titanium, cast irons, austenitic stainless steels, non-ferrous metals, nonmetals, and most high-temperature alloys. Superior thermal deformation and depth of cut notch resistance. The grain size is well controlled for minimal pits and flaws which contributes to long, reliable service.
K420 CARBIDE - UNCOATED UNCOATED C6 P20-P30, M15-M30 Steel Composition: A medium binder content, alloyed, larger grain size grade. Application: Grade K420 is a general purpose steel cutting grade. It has just the right balance of wear resistance and toughness. Available as a standard grade in the Top Notch threading and grooving line. Can withstand heavy chip loads in soft to moderately hard steels. Consider upgrading to grade KC710 for most uses.

K68 CARBIDE Uncoated C3 M10-20, K05-20, N10-20, S10-20 Cast irons, Austenitic Stainless Steels, Non-ferrous Metals, Nonmetals Grade K68 has excellent abrasion resistance for machining cast irons, austenitic stainless steels, non-ferrous metals, nonmetals and as an alternative to grade K313 on most high-temperature alloys. KB1340 CBN - POLYCRYSTALLINE - - K10-30 Cast Iron A high CBN content, solid PCBN insert having multiple cutting edges. Applied in roughing to finishing of fully pearlitic gray cast iron, chilled irons, high-chrome alloyed steels, sintered powdered metals, and heavy cuts in hardened steels (>45 HRC). The PVD coating provides resistance to crater wear and increased resistance to chipping.
KB9610 CBN - POLYCRYSTALLINE TiN/Al2O3/TiCN CVD C4, C8 K05 H05-15 Hardened Materials Low content PCBN grade with a TiN/Al2O3/TiCN CVD coating for protection against harmful crater wear. Designed for the precision machining of hardened steels (>48 HRC), the harder the steel the better. Very effectively applied on bearing steels, hot and cold work tool steels, high-speed steels, die steels, case hardened steels, carburized and nitrided irons, and some hard coatings. Do not use on soft steels. For best results, apply negative rake tools in OD applications and postive tools in ID applications. Available in a multi-tip format with a tremendous breadth of edge preps and two styles of wiper geometries.
KB9640 CBN - POLYCRYSTALLINE TiN Al2O3 TiCN C1 K10-30 H30-35 Steels, Cast Iron, Hardened Materials High CBN content, solid PCBN structure having multiple cutting edges and a CVD alumina coating. Applied in the roughing to semi-finishing of fully pearlitic gray cast iron, chilled irons, high chrome alloy steels, sintered powdered metals, and heavy cuts in hardened steels (>45 HRC). Also use for finished chilled cast iron and fully pearlitic cast iron. Do not apply on finishing hardened steels. The solid KB9640 also can be effectively applied when roughing hardened steels.
KC410M CARBIDE - PVD COATED TiB2 (titanium-diboride) - N05-15 Non-ferrous Materials An extremely hard TiB2-PVD-coated grade that provides very good wear characteristics at higher cutting speeds. KC410M resists edge build up, can help reduce burring, and generates excellent surface finishes. This grade is best suited for aluminum with <10% silicon and other non-ferrous materials.
KC5010 CARBIDE PVD-AlTiN C3-C4 P10-20 M10-20 K10-20 N10-20 S10-20 H10 Steel, Stainless Steel, Cast-Iron, Non-Ferrous Metals, High-Temp Alloys, Hardened Metals The KC5010 grade is ideal for finishing to general machining of most workpiece materials at higher speeds. KC9010 CARBIDE - CVD COATED Multilayer alumina C3, C7 K01-K15, M05-M20, P01-P20 Cast Iron, StainlessSteel, Steel Composition: A thick alumina coated grade with a moderately hard, deformation resistant substrate. Application: This is a great finishing grade for use in a large variety of workpiece matenals including most steels, ferritic and martensitic stainless steel, and irons. The thick coating is the preferred choice for cast iron machining because it has outstanding abrasion resistance and maintains hardness at high cutting speeds. Best economy and productivity can be attained when used at high speeds. Can withstand some interruptions. For rougher cutting, use grade KC9025.
KC9025 CARBIDE - CVD COATED Multilayer alumina C2-C3, C6-C7 P15-35 M15-25 K15-25 Steel, Stainless Steel, Cast Iron Composition: A thick alumina coated grade with a cobalt-enriched substrate. Application: Grade KC9025 can be considered the industry's best high-speed, general purpose tuming grade. KD1405 DIAMOND - POLYCRYSTALLINE - - N05-10 S05 Non-Ferrous Metals, High-Temp Alloys Pure CVD deposited diamond sheet tool direct brazed to a carbide substrate. Industry's most abrasion resistant tool material for non-ferrous and non-metallic materials. Best applied when abrasion resistance is the desired benefit. Not as tough as KD100, but can withstand moderate interruptions when turning and traditional face milling operations.
KD1410 DIAMOND - POLYCRYSTALLINE - - N10-15 Non-Ferrous Materials A PCD-tip brazed to carbide for machining aluminum with a very high silicon content, abrasive non-ferrous materials, and fiber-reinforced plastics. KD1410 can be used at very high cutting speeds, even where good surface finishes are required. This grade can be used both wet or dry but is suggested to use coolant where good surface finishes are required.
KD1415 DIAMOND - POLYCRYSTALLINE - - N15-20 Non-Ferrous Materials PCD-tip brazed to carbide. For general machining of aluminum with a low silicon content, non-ferrous heavy metals and plastics. KD1415 can be used at high cutting speeds and for continuous cutting, even where outstanding surface finishes are required. KD1415 is suitable for wet and dry machining.
KD1420 DIAMOND - POLYCRYSTALLINE - - N10-20 Non-Ferrous Materials Grade KD1420 is a varied-grain, PCD-brazed tip grade. Well-suited for machining low-silicon aluminum, non-ferrous heavy metals, and plastics. Can be used at high cutting speeds where outstanding finish is required. Suitable for wet and dry machining.
KD1425 DIAMOND - POLYCRYSTALLINE - - N10-20 Non-Ferrous Materials A multimodal PCD grade with a range of grain sizes brazed onto a carbide substrate. KD200 CBN - POLYCRYSTALLINE - - K05-K15 Cast Iron Composition: A high CBN content, solid PCBN structure having multiple cutting edges. Application: Grade KD200 is applied in the same machining parameters as grade KD120, however, the solid inserts offer better security and shock resistance than the tipped grade KD120 inserts. KD240 CBN - POLYCRYSTALLINE TiN C8 K05-K15 Cast Iron Composition: A high CBN content, solid PCBN structure having multiple cutting edges and a TiN coating. In addition, grade KD240 provides the user with a gold colored coating to aid in the identification of worn cutting edges.
