SFPM = (Pi × Diameter × RPM) / 12

Cutter Chip Load (CL)
CL = Feed Rate (Inches per minute) / RPM / Number of Teeth

Inch/Millimeter Conversion
Inches: (1″ = 25.4mm) –– Millimeters: (1mm = 0.03936″)

IPM = Inches Per Minute
IPR = Inches Per Revolution
RPM = Revolutions Per Minute
SFM = Surface Feet Per Minute
D = Drill Diameter

IPM = IPR × RPM
IPR = IPM / RPM
RPM = SFM × 3.82 / D
SFM = D × RPM × 0.26
